Thank you so much for your interest in my art! I truly appreciate it – especially because I know that deciding to purchase an artwork online is not always easy.
On this page, I’ll walk you through the process of purchasing your chosen piece step by step and answer the most frequently asked questions. If you still don’t find the information you’re looking for, please feel free to send me your question via the contact form.
About the Artwork
- How does purchasing an original artwork work?
The process depends on whether the piece is currently in stock or needs to be produced.
If the artwork is in stock:
- Fill out the inquiry form directly on the page of the specific artwork.
- I will contact you to arrange the details of delivery.
- I will issue an invoice and we will sign a purchase agreement.
- Once the payment is received, I will carefully pack and ship the artwork.
If the artwork needs to be produced:
Some pieces (especially sculptures, photographs, prints or objects) are available in multiple editions, but are not kept in stock. They are made to order. The process is as follows:
-
Fill out the inquiry form.
-
I will let you know that I’ve received your inquiry, and then I’ll request a quote from the producer (e.g., bronze foundry, print studio, workshop for complex objects, etc.).
-
We will agree on an estimated delivery time (usually 1–6 months).
-
I will issue an invoice for a 50% deposit*.
-
We will sign a contract that initiates the production.
-
Once the work is finished, you will pay the remaining balance, I will deliver the artwork, and we will sign a handover protocol.
*The 50% deposit is non-refundable — it covers production costs incurred regardless of any potential cancellation by the buyer.
*The price does not include shipping, packaging materials, any additional costs (e.g., plinth, frame, special finishes), or international transaction fees.
I will keep you updated on the progress throughout the production.
- How Many Pieces Are Made of One Artwork?
Each artwork comes with clear information on the number of editions (or a note that it is a unique piece). For multi-edition works, each piece is numbered and signed.
With every purchase, you will receive:
-
A signed purchase agreement
-
An artist’s certificate of authenticity
Overview by type:
-
Painting, drawing: 1 original, signature only
-
Photography, photomontage, print: 3–45 pieces, numbered and signed
-
Sculpture:
Depending on the material used and the size of the sculpture, editions usually follow three tiers:
• 5 pieces (premium line — typically bronze)
• 10 pieces (mid-range — large sculptures in material imitation)
• 24 pieces (iconic smaller works in material imitation designed for a broader collector base)Each piece is hand-finished, signed, and numbered.
Different materials may have their own editions (e.g., 5 bronze + 24 resin), and many sculptures exist in more than one material version. -
Object: 1–5 pieces, numbering depending on the nature of the work
-
Video, audio, installation: usually not for sale, price upon request
If a special limited edition is ever created in addition to existing ones, it will always be clearly stated and marked as such.
Limiting the number of editions helps preserve the uniqueness and value of each artwork. It ensures that every collector owns something truly special, and allows me, as the artist, to maintain high quality and personal attention to each piece.

- What Does “For Exhibition Only” Mean?
Some artworks are not originally intended for sale. However, if one captures your interest, please feel free to contact me.

THIS VERY SAME PARAGRAPH HAS NO SPACING, WHICH IS WRONG – In some cases, it may be possible to:
- Create a reproduction
- Convert the exhibition piece into a work for sale, upon agreement
Personal Options
- Would you like to see the artwork in person before buying it?
No problem! Here are your options:
-
Studio visit: I’ll be happy to welcome you to my art-home. Over a cup of coffee or tea, we can talk about my work as well as the specific piece you’re interested in.
-
Video call / video viewing: Are you based abroad or too far to visit in person? No problem. I can arrange a video call with you or send you a short video of the artwork.
Simply send me a message via the contact form, and we’ll agree on a time.
-
- Can I Reserve an Artwork?
Yes – I offer short-term reservations (1–2 weeks).
During the reservation period, I will not offer the piece to other interested buyers, although I do not remove it from my listings or visibly mark it as reserved.
- Do You Offer Framing?
Yes – I can arrange a frame or plinth for an additional cost, based on the manufacturer’s prices. We will choose the option together.
- Can I Buy an Artwork as a Gift?
Yes – I can add a personal dedication or prepare subtle gift wrapping (upon agreement).
Payment
- Payment Terms
Payment is made against an invoice issued in CZK or EUR (depending on the buyer’s country) via one of the following methods:
-
Bank transfer in advance
-
By agreement, payment via Revolut
-
Cash upon personal handover
I am not a VAT payer. The buyer will always receive a proper invoice and a signed purchase agreement.
-
- Do You Offer Payment in Instalments?
At this time, I do not offer standard instalment plans.
In some cases, however, it may be possible to arrange payment in two or three parts, especially for commissions with a longer production time.
The conditions will always be agreed upon individually and specified in the contract.
- Repeat Purchase and Discount
As a way of saying thank you for your trust and support, I am happy to offer a 5% discount in the following cases:
-
When purchasing multiple artworks at the same time.
-
For repeat purchases in the future — even many years later.
This discount applies only to original artworks and does not apply to merchandise.
-
Shipping & Delivery
- Shipping, Packaging, Insurance
I offer several delivery options:
-
Personal collection at my studio near Prague – free of charge
-
Courier delivery – price depends on the dimensions, weight, distance, and chosen shipping company
-
Personal delivery within the Czech Republic or the EU – in some cases, I can deliver the artwork personally, if it is feasible in terms of time and logistics
For larger pieces, please allow for the production of a custom transport crate. Its cost is added separately, especially for larger crates.
Shipping insurance is optional but highly recommended. I cannot be held responsible for uninsured artworks during transport.
I always pack artworks carefully and professionally, with a strong focus on protecting them during transit.
All details will be arranged individually based on the nature of the artwork and the delivery destination. These arrangements will be specified in the contract.
-
- Delivery Times
The delivery time depends on whether the artwork is in stock or made to order:
-
In-stock artwork – usually shipped within 5 business days after payment is received (for personal collection, timing is arranged individually).
-
Made-to-order artwork – estimated delivery time is 1–6 months, depending on the production method, supplier capacity, and the complexity of the piece.
For made-to-order works, I will keep you updated on the progress. The exact delivery date will always be arranged individually and confirmed in the contract.
-
After Purchase
- Returns, Claims, and Repairs
- Damage during transport: If the artwork arrives damaged, compensation will be handled through the shipping insurance (if it was arranged).
-
Personal collection: If you collect the artwork in person or I deliver it to you personally, I cannot be held responsible for any damage occurring after the handover.
-
Damage caused by the buyer: If the artwork is damaged through your own fault, I may be able to offer a repair — if it is technically possible. The repair cost will be agreed upon in advance.
-
Returns: As original artworks are often made to order, they fall under the legal exception to the right of withdrawal. This means that returning the artwork without a valid reason specified by applicable legislation is not possible. Any request for a return will be assessed individually.
- How to Care for a Purchased Artwork?
Each piece has its own specific needs, but in general I recommend:
-
Avoid direct sunlight and high humidity.
-
Do not expose the artwork to sudden temperature changes.
-
Clean only with a dry, soft cloth (never with chemical cleaners unless we agree otherwise).
-
Move sculptures and objects carefully, ideally with two people, to prevent falls or impacts.
If you are unsure about the correct care, just let me know — I’ll be happy to give you specific advice based on the material and technique of your artwork.
-
- What If I Change My Mind After Delivery?
For ready-made artworks, the standard terms for consumer contracts apply.
For made-to-order works, however, the Consumer Protection Act stipulates that the right to withdraw does not apply.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this Buying Guide. I hope it has helped you understand the purchasing process and answered all the important questions.
For me, every sale is not just a transaction, but also a personal encounter — whether in person or from afar. I aim to make the entire process as simple, transparent, and pleasant as possible.
If you’re still unsure, need more details, or have a special request, please don’t hesitate to contact me via the form. I’ll be happy to discuss everything with you and find a solution that works best for you.
