Crying women get wet

Where do women get wet when they cry?

On their cheeks from the tears they couldn’t stop? Under the armpits? In the crotch? When they lash themselves to be “more, better, less, or different” women? Or after gazing into their own vagina, the dark void of both pleasure and reproduction, like an abyss? What if the abyss has entered them and now pulls them in?

A vicious cycle of demands and expectations, one that’s hard to escape, if it can ever truly be escaped. Especially in a world where aggression is so closely tied to power, and sexuality to manipulation.

The question remains: when and under what circumstances do men actually get wet?

I Feel It

I feel it is about the connection between sexuality and emotionality, which are deeply intertwined in women. Bloodiness, sensitivity, pain, vulnerability, and the vitalizing power are shared traits of both organs presented. A slightly baroque undertone in the form emphasizes the drama that arises from such emotional weight.

Point of View

Point of View is a work about sculpture—a medium rooted in the foundations of art and the desire for immortality. It is remarkable that, throughout its history, sculpture has rarely addressed such a pivotal moment as discovering one’s sexuality for the first time, let alone from a woman’s perspective.

The Dicktators

Legends of women masturbating in front of leaders. Masturbation as ideology. The sexual allure of powerful men. Yet, everyone had the best intentions.

The Whip

The Whip is essentially a symbol of womanhood—it doesn’t matter whether it is wielded against herself, men, or society. A braid that tames living hair. A whip that subdues overly lively animals. Primness, obedience, orderliness. What exactly is being tamed, and why?

A Paraphrase of Courbet’s with an umbilical cord

The cyclic nature of an umbilical cord emerging from the navel only to retreat back into the birth canal. A variation of a snake devouring its own tail. The unsatisfying awareness of one’s mortality, driving humanity towards reproduction, which then leads to an endless cycle of reproduction.

The Doll

A girl connected through hair to a doll. The determination of a girl to take care of a loved being. Not so neat or in any way prettified snapshot in the style of a family album photo. The informality amplified by the frontal lighting and tight sweatpants.
