Gravity of Depth

There are states deeper than the Mariana Trench, where once you enter, nothing will ever be the same again.

Once you’ve been there, it’s as if someone placed a boulder inside you, and with every attempt to rise, it pulls you back down to the depths. The gravity of the abyss, which cannot be deceived. Add to that the time, which, in its essence, is so outrageously pragmatic. And on top of that, those endless questions!

Regarding the finiteness, the edge of which you long to touch, so you can push off from it like a somersault in a pool, before the chlorinated water seeps into your nose.

Out of Blue (Tumor Mundi)

Like a bolt from the blue, it struck, and we all felt its weight. An unyielding sense that the calm days of peace are gone, and the knot in our stomachs will never leave us again. This tumor of the world has begun to metastasize into our lives, spreading its shadow over everything we once held secure. God knows if we will ever be able to catch our breath again.

The Match

The Match is a self-parodic sculpture reflecting on deep dark states of mind. It explores how a person can magnify this state, inflating it to absurd proportions and even making it “comfortable” to facilitate their own suffering. In this process, one might almost forget that they created this state themselves—a realization that is, in the end, utterly absurd.

Merry Christmas

The Merry Christmas object is a conceptual “suicide machine” designed to hang on a wall. Its purpose is to serve as a daily reminder of the conscious choice to stay alive. It confronts the fragility of existence while emphasizing the power of personal will—and the ever-present possibility of choice.

The Spatio-temporal Paradox

How long does it take for a crystal to form? What is its consciousness? How long does hair take to grow and how long does it take for it to turn white?

A glimpse of an eye and all the stars turn into dust. A glimpse of a flying comet and you will be dead.

The Backfire

What do you feel when you watch a fire? Deep inside, it awakens archetypal feelings of comfort and serenity, doesn’t it? But what happens when the fire burns backwards? Play it fullscreen, let it draw you in, and see how it works on you over the next few minutes.

Dead and Deader

The photo of two bunnies called Dead and Deader makes us think – which one is actually “more” dead?

A bunny that used to be alive and now serves only as a trophy, a reminder of hunting? Or a toy for children that is only temporarily brought to life by a child’s imagination?

Rose is a rose is a rose

The desert rose, a variety of gypsum, is used to create a plaster mold, which in turn is used to cast another desert rose in plaster. The point is that the desert rose is a natural form of gypsum, and gypsum is the very material from which plaster is made. This means the desert rose has the potential to reproduce itself.

The Big Jump

The Big Jump defines the exact borderline between the thought of committing suicide and the act itself.

You can climb onto the diving platform, walk to the edge, and in that moment, the world shifts. The platform shakes, and suddenly, there is no way back.

Tree Stump

The photo “Tree Stump” highlights the visual similarity between the remains of a cast-iron pillar, once part of a century-old lamp located in a thicket in Stromovka, and a tree stump.

It speaks of the remnants of aesthetic values, now likely long dead—a culture chopped down and overtaken by weeds.
