Whether you represent a small private gallery, work as an art dealer, are part of a larger institution, or are curating an exhibition, I would be happy to discuss potential collaboration. Below you’ll find a basic framework of my terms.
A) Non-commercial exhibition project
If you are interested in borrowing my works for a non-commercial exhibition (e.g. institutional gallery, curatorial concept, etc.), I kindly ask that you first provide the following information:
- Exhibition concept and duration
- Loan agreement including insurance
- Transport arrangement
Once we agree on the terms, the collaboration will be formalized in a contract, including a handover protocol specifying insurance values, transport and packaging arrangements, and promotional commitments – such as inclusion of my name on posters, invitations, and social media. The agreement also includes the possibility for me to use exhibition or artwork documentation for my own portfolio and promotion. I require proof of insurance coverage for the entire duration of the exhibition, including transport.
B) Commercial exhibition project
If you are interested in working together to sell my artwork through your gallery (e.g. private gallery, art dealer, etc.), we will discuss the following points:
- Exhibition concept and duration
- Commission rate from successful sales
- Loan agreement including insurance
- Transport arrangement
We will confirm our cooperation in a contract, which will specify commission rate, agreed prices for each artwork, appropriate insurance during transport and exhibition, packaging details, and promotional responsibilities – including my name on all promotional materials (posters, invites, social media). It will also cover the possibility for me to use photo documentation of the artwork or the exhibition for my own presentation. A handover and return protocol will be part of the agreement.
I commit to not reserving or selling the agreed artworks to any other party within 1 month prior to the exhibition. During this time, you have full freedom to promote and offer the artworks to your clients. During the exhibition, you are responsible for actively promoting the works. Unsold artworks must be returned no later than 14 days after the exhibition ends.
For 1 month following the exhibition, you will have exclusive rights to continue offering the exhibited artworks for sale. If a buyer is found within this period, the transaction will be completed through our standard agreement.
After that period, I reserve the right to offer the works to other interested parties. However, if you introduce a buyer at any later stage, the sale may still go through you with a flat commission rate of 20%, regardless of the original agreement.
A return protocol confirming the condition of each piece will be signed at the end of the exhibition. In case of damage, the situation will be handled according to the agreed insurance terms, and I ask to be kept informed throughout the process.
